Changing Your Username
Your username is your hrglass address, like yourname.hrglass.app. You can change it once.
What Changes
Section titled “What Changes”- Your address.
oldname.hrglass.appbecomesnewname.hrglass.app. - Bookmarks. Old bookmarks send people to your new address for 30 days. After that, they stop working.
- Links you’ve sent. Invoice and estimate links you already shared also redirect for 30 days. If a Client needs one after that, send it again.
- Your team. Everyone in workspaces you own gets a notification about the change.
Nobody else can grab your old username for 30 days, in case you want it back.
Change Your Username
Section titled “Change Your Username”- Click your photo at the top right and choose Profile.
- On the User Details tab, click Change next to Username.
- Type your New Username. It needs 3 to 15 characters: lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. hrglass tells you if it’s taken.
- Click Continue.
- Read what’s going to change and click I understand, continue.
- Type your current username to confirm.
- Click Confirm Username Change.
hrglass takes you to your new address.
Changed Your Mind?
Section titled “Changed Your Mind?”For 30 days after a change, you can switch back.
- Go to Profile and open the User Details tab.
- Click Revert to with your old username. It shows how many days you have left.
- Click Revert Username.
Your old address is back and your team is notified. Reverting also gives you back your one change, so you can pick a different username later.
If someone else took your old username after the 30 days, you can’t revert to it.
Need Another Change?
Section titled “Need Another Change?”After you’ve used your one change, the username field is locked. Contact support if you need to change it again.
