- Scroll to Financial Data.
- Turn each permission on or off in the Admin or Member column.
Changes save and kick in right away for everyone with that role.
Make an Exception for One Person
Section titled “Make an Exception for One Person”Want one Member to see Invoice amounts without giving it to every Member? Use an exception.
- Under Financial Data, find the permission.
- Click Exceptions below it.
- Next to the person, pick one:
- Role follows their role’s setting. This is where everyone starts.
- Allow gives them the permission, even if their role doesn’t have it.
- Deny takes it away, even if their role has it.
Each exception shows under the permission with the person’s name and allowed or denied. Click the x on it to go back to Role. The Exceptions button shows how many there are.
The Expenses permissions work the same way, with their own Exceptions button.
What Someone Without Access Sees
Section titled “What Someone Without Access Sees”They can still do their work. They just don’t see the numbers.
- Amounts show as — wherever money would appear, like on Projects, Tasks, Invoices and estimates.
- Billing Information on Tasks is hidden. Any Task they create is saved without a billing type, and you’ll see a Needs billing badge on it. See Task Billing Types.

They can still track time on Tasks they’re assigned to.
