Billing Rates and Rate Multipliers
Set your rates once and stop typing them into every Task. Only the workspace Owner can see and change billing rates.
Go to Settings › Billing Rates. There are two parts: Member Rates and Rate Multipliers.
Member Rates
Section titled “Member Rates”Each person in the workspace can have a default hourly rate, including you.
- Find the person under Member Rates.
- Enter an amount in Default hourly rate (/hr).
- Click Save.
When you assign that person to an Hourly Rate or Other Rate Task, their rate fills in for you. You can still change it on the Task.
Changing someone’s rate doesn’t touch Tasks you already set up. It only fills in new ones. To clear a rate, delete the amount and click Save.
Rate Multipliers
Section titled “Rate Multipliers”A multiplier bumps up the hourly rate for certain work, like 1.5 for Overtime or 2 for Rush. You use them on Tasks with the Other Rate billing type.
Add a Multiplier
Section titled “Add a Multiplier”- Under Rate Multipliers, click New.
- Enter a Name, like Overtime, Rush or Weekend.
- Enter the Multiplier, like 1.5. It has to be more than 0.
- Click Save.
It shows up in the Rate Multiplier list on every Other Rate Task.
Edit a Multiplier
Section titled “Edit a Multiplier”- Click the pencil icon next to it.
- Change the name or the value.
- Click Save.
Delete a Multiplier
Section titled “Delete a Multiplier”- Click the trash icon next to it.
- Click Delete.
If open Tasks use it, hrglass lists them first. Those Tasks keep the rate they already have, but they won’t be linked to the multiplier anymore. A deleted multiplier can’t be brought back.
