Deleting and Restoring a Workspace

Done with a workspace? Delete it. You get 30 days to restore it before it’s gone for good, along with everything in it.

Only the workspace Owner can delete or restore a workspace.

The first workspace you created stays as long as your account does. The Delete Workspace button is grayed out there. You can delete any other workspace you own.

  1. Switch to the workspace you want to delete.
  2. Go to Settings › Workspace Details.
  3. Scroll to Danger Zone and click Delete Workspace.
  4. Type the workspace name to confirm.
  5. Click Delete Workspace.

hrglass tells you the date it will be deleted for good. Until then, the workspace and its data are put away, not erased.

If the workspace is a paid workspace add-on, the delete screen shows Pro add-on billing. The add-on is cancelled at the end of your current billing period. Restore the workspace before then to keep it. See Working in More Than One Workspace.

  1. Go to Settings › Workspace Details.
  2. Under Recently deleted, find the workspace. It shows the deletion date and how many days are left.
  3. Click Restore.
  4. Click Restore Workspace to confirm.

You’ll also find it under Deleted Workspaces in Profile › Workspaces. For an add-on workspace, you can click Restore next to the add-on in Profile › Subscription.

Its Projects, Tasks, time, Clients, Invoices, estimates and settings come back with it.

If the workspace’s add-on was refunded or has already ended, you’ll see Restore unavailable and can’t bring it back.
