Focus Today

Focus today sits at the top of your Dashboard. It picks a few things worth your attention today, so you don’t have to dig through every Project to find them.

What Shows Up

hrglass looks at your work and picks a short list. Each item has a reason under its name, like Due tomorrow, so today is the day.

Item	Why it’s on the list
Tasks and To-Dos	Overdue, due in the next 7 days, something you worked on in the last couple of days, or something that hasn’t moved in a while.
Projects with unbilled work	Time or expenses that have gone uninvoiced for 14 days or more.
Unpaid Invoices	Sent Invoices that are past due and not fully paid.

You only see Tasks and To-Dos assigned to you, or ones with nobody assigned. Projects with unbilled work and unpaid Invoices only show if you can see financial data in the workspace.

To keep the list varied, it shows no more than two items from the same Project. The list stays the same through the day, so items don’t jump around while you work.

Nothing to show? You’ll see You’re all caught up today.

Act on an Item

Click the item’s name, or the button next to it:

Button	Where it goes
Open task	The Task’s Project.
Open to-do	Your To-Do list.
Create invoice	The Project’s invoices page.
View invoice	Your Invoices.

Ignore an Item

Not relevant today? Hide it.

1. Click the … menu next to the item.
2. Click Ignore.

On a Team plan, Ignore gives you two choices:

• For me only hides it just for you.
• Everyone hides it for the whole team.

An ignored item comes back on its own when there’s new activity on it.

Bring Back an Ignored Item

When you’ve ignored something, the top of Focus today shows how many, like 2 ignored.

1. Click 2 ignored (or however many you have).
2. Click Bring back next to the item.

Hide Focus Today

Don’t want it on your Dashboard? Click Customize Dashboard and turn off Focus Today. See Your Dashboard.
